Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Full Time, Day Shift Team Leader, Echocardiography for the Noninvasive Lab!

Job Description:

• Performs cardiac echocardiography of the heart and associated structures using routine and advanced technical skills.
  
• Participate in the professional development of staff and students.
  
• Assist Cardiology Director with daily operations, coordination of work, achievement of department goals and objectives.
  
• Serve as technical resource for other department personnel.
  
  
  Job Requirements:
  
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (Associate's or Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology) OR a High School Diploma along with significant experience will be considered in lieu of education, in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
    
  • License/Certification : Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) required.
    
  • Required Experience: 1 year of Echocardiography experience is required along wtih knowledge of Echocardiography equipment.

    Job Summary

    Qualifications:
    
    HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
    
    Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Certifications - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - Certifications - Inteleos Inc American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
