You will specialize in a particular subject area, but your input and impact will be sought and expected throughout the organization.About the team: Capital One's Card Decisioning team is responsible to enable our business to manage risk and drive business value across the customer lifecycle by providing real-time, accurate , secure and AI powered decision-making solutions for customer transactions, fraud detection, alerts, credit inquiries and applications across card, lending and banking products.In this role, you will work with our decisioning platform team to provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to help build a destination platform for capital one. You will be a thought leader in this space to ensure we are building a world class platform that is scalable, resilient, multi-tenant and can support a variety of use cases. -You will work with other Distinguished Engineers to detail out high level designs and help Software engineers develop and engineer the products as envisioned . You will be responsible to help the teams with setting up the best in the industry engineering culture and developer experience .   • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 7 years of experience as hands on full stack technologist -
  • At least 5 years of professional experience coding in commonly used languages like Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise architecture, solution architecture or data architecture
  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud native technologies (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)Preferred Qualifications: - -
    • Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
    • 10+ years of professional experience in the full lifecycle of system development, from conception through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and production support
    • 8+ years of experience in designing large scale and resilient applications
    • 3+ years of experience with solutioning a large scale platform -

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Chicago, IL: $239,900 - $273,800 for Distinguished Engineer -McLean, VA: $263,900 - $301,200 for Distinguished Engineer -Richmond, VA: $239,900 - $273,800 for Distinguished Engineer - - - - - - - -Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
