The role

As the Head of Construction and Design, you'll lead the integration of design vision with construction execution, delivering projects that set industry benchmarks.

  • Oversee and align the design and construction functions to deliver cohesive, innovative, and high-quality projects.
    
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans, covering scope, resources, timelines, and risk management.
    
  • Champion design excellence and construction best practices, driving a seamless integration of both disciplines.
    
    
    
  • Design Leadership:

    • Lead the design team to create customer-focused, innovative concepts that align with brand and operational objectives.
      
    • Ensure all designs are practical, cost-effective, and scalable across projects.
      
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine concepts into executable designs.
      
      
      
    • Construction Oversight:

      • Manage all aspects of construction delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to exacting standards.
        
      • Monitor project budgets and drive cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
        
      • Ensure compliance with safety, building codes, and regulatory requirements.

        • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering accountability, creativity, and professional growth.

          • A proven track record in leading both construction and design teams within retail, commercial, or related industries.
            
          • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, design principles, building codes, and industry regulations.
            
          • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to unify teams and drive collaborative success.
            
          • Demonstrated expertise in transformation and delivering large-scale programs of work during periods of rapid growth, such as doubling business size or infrastructure at pace.
            
          • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and schedules across complex projects.
            
          • A commitment to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
