Job Details for the Commercial Service Technician:

• Schedule: Full-Time, Mon-Fri 8AM-4PM (On-Call Required)
• Pay Rate: $28-$30/hr, paid weekly!
• Location: Newport News, VA
• Temp-to-Perm opportunity with comprehensive benefits Job Responsibilities & Description for the Commercial Service Technician:
  • Maintain physical upkeep of office buildings, including operating mechanical equipment (excluding contract services).
  • Respond to alarm conditions and perform duties with a focus on safety.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Keep the maintenance shop and equipment storage area clean and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as per written work orders, aiming to complete within 24 hours.
  • Schedule and oversee contractors for maintenance-related work, including securing bids and proposals.
  • Follow budgetary guidelines and purchasing directives.
  • Maintain high standards of tenant relations and adhere to all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Be available for emergency snow conditions and perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements for the Commercial Service Technician:
    • Skills in plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, etc.).
    • Proficiency in maintaining and repairing building systems, including restroom fixtures, lighting, fire alarms, water source heat pumps, and cooling towers.
    • Ability to work rotating on-call weekend shifts.
