Job Description

Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC) has an immediate need for an IT Technician 1 with demonstrated experience in performing or assisting with new installations and/or life cycle upgrades for shipboard ADP /IT networks and equipment; providing shipboard training to crew members as necessary for LAN and IT Equipment operation. Primary responsibilities include: * Interface and coordinate daily and planned activities with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, other contractors providing specialized LAN or network communications support

* Prepare and provide daily work reports, and respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports Job Requirements

* Must possess IAT I, in in coordination of IAWF DoD 8570.01M

* Must possess or be able to obtain an operating system certification that correlates to systems installed onboard MSC vessels

* Must possess an active SECRET level security clearance

* Progressive IT experience (1 year)

* Knowledge of Windows Server (2008r2/2012/2016) /desktop Operating Systems (7/10)

* Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server

* Ability to troubleshoot network issues

* Shipboard experience preferred

* Cat5/Fiber experience
