Advertised Salary: $68, 370- $90,591 Depending upon
qualifications

Job Description: The Licensed Clinician II (Counselor, Case
manager, Clinical Social Worker) operates as part of a
comprehensive 23-Hour Crisis Stabilization team that provides
ongoing assessment, crisis intervention and clinical determination
for level of care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health
crisis. This dynamic team addresses urgent behavioral health needs
including but not limited to significant emotional dysregulation,
disordered thought processes, substance use intoxication resulting
in behavioral crisis and environmentally de-stabilizing events that
require multi-disciplinary crisis intervention.In this program, the
Licensed Clinician II (Counselor, Case manager, Clinical Social
Worker) operates in both a supervisory/administrative and clinical
role. The Licensed Clinician II provides clinical oversight to
assigned licensed clinician I and unlicensed clinician II staff,
assists in monitoring quality assurance, contributes to process
improvement and assists in problem-solving within the department.
The Licensed Clinician II will also be responsible for providing
person-centered, trauma-informed care to individuals with the goal
of stabilization at the least restrictive level of care and an
emphasis on post crisis growth. An ideal candidate will work well
with multiple internal and community stakeholders including police,
community partners, peer support and emergency services staff to
coordinate care and safety in the community. The candidate will
have knowledge of the DSM-V, suicide risk assessment and safety
planning, crisis intervention, levels of care, community resources
and trauma-informed practices that promote client engagement.

Required Qualifications: VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Requires a master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling,
or a closely related field, or another degree as approved by the
Virginia Department of Health Professions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this
class requires a minimum of four years of related, full-time
equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally
scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or
City-wide emergencies.
