Laboratory Support Technician - Histology Administration

Anatomic Pathology Lab

-Full Time & Day Shift-

Monday-Friday: 9:00am-5:30pm

40 hours/week

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry;
  • OR Bachelor's degree in general studies with 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) in biology or chemistry
  • Histology Lab candidates with a Bachelor of Science in general studies with 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry will qualify
  • Lab experience preferred

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Customer service
    • Administrative assistant to pathologist
    • Process oncologist orders
    • Prepare tumor boards
    • Manage pathology material and prepare for storage
    • Prepare specimens for testing

      Job Summary

      Prepares specimens per discipline operating procedure for result/interpretation by technical staff and/or pathologists. Performs instrument maintenance and inventory functions per operating procedures.

      Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution required.

      Histology Lab candidates with a Bachelor of Science in general studies with 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry will qualify

      Qualifications:

      BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Biology (Required), BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Chemistry (Required)
