Job Description:

SLAIT Consulting is currently seeking an Application Development Support Programmer for our client in the Virginia Beach, VA area.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for supporting applications deployed within the enterprise, cloud, or hybrid cloud. They will provide a bridge between several agile teams, the business users, data administration, network operations, and network engineering functions to support both custom and off-the-shelf applications.

Client is looking for someone who demonstrates an ability to challenge the status quo, influence others to embrace new technologies and processes, and to motivate others toward continual improvement in the performance of the organization. Candidate will support and utilize customer relationship management applications, document management applications, call center applications, middleware technologies, etc.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: (some not all)

* Excellent verbal, written, and other media communication skills.

* Integrative thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills.

* Some software development language skills in the following areas preferred: ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, DHTML, XML.

* Working knowledge in the following protocols preferred: HTTP, SOAP, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls.

* Application platform skills in some of the following areas preferred: Windows Server, AD, IIS, CRM, BizTalk Server, WebSphere.

* Database platform skills in some of the following areas preferred: Microsoft SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), VMWare Workstation, or Virtual PC.

* Self-motivated, with ability to work independently and be an effective member of a team.

* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

* Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to establish effective rapport with all levels of staff and outside public .
