Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Coding Auditor, Fully
Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive coding audits for inpatient and outpatient
hospital services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding
standards
Review medical records and billing data to identify coding errors
and areas for improvement
Provide education and feedback to coding and billing staff to
enhance coding accuracy and compliance
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of medical coding experience in both inpatient
and outpatient settings
Experience with hospital-based coding audits and revenue cycle
management
Current coding certificate from recognized organizations (AHIMA or
AAPC) is required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management
or related field is preferred
Strong knowledge of coding classification systems and payer
regulations
