The facility is located in Waverly, VA. This position is for 1 MD specializing in Internal Medicine, located at a correctional center in Waverly, VA (Sussex). The assignment starts ASAP and lasts 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Credentialing takes about 10 days after the application is submitted, with the only delays typically due to incomplete documentation. A drug test and online training are required, which can sometimes be completed on-site. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with no call or weekend duties. The case load is 18-20 patients per day. The correctional facility likely has psych professionals and APPs, along with RNs and LPNs on staff, though details about specific support staff can be clarified.
