Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking an experienced RN who is
ready to take that next career step up into a nursing leadership
position as a Clinical Coordinator in the pediatric unit. In this
role you will mentor and support your team to provide
patient-centered nursing care to children from birth through their
late teens and into early adulthood. If you are looking for a

environment, apply today! -What you will do in this role:
- As a Clinical Coordinator in the pediatric unit you will
provide day-to-day clinical management of the unit, maintaining
customer satisfaction (patient, visitors, physicians and
staff).
- On an as needed basis you will perform therapeutic care for
infants, children, adolescents and young adult patients who present
with a variety of acute and chronic conditions and disabilities,
acting as a role model for staff.
- Under the direction of the department director, you will
support personnel management functions such as interviewing,
hiring, orientation, training, performance management and
scheduling, and motivate, train and champion staff to reach their
professional goals.
- In collaboration with the nursing team, you will ensure
compliance with professional, regulatory, governmental and
organizational standards, including quality metrics (Core Measures
and HCAHPS).
- You will maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing
with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, and
support your staff to do so as well.What qualifications you will
need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN
preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current
Multistate Compact License.
- 3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care
hospital setting preferred.
- 1 year of nursing experience in a pediatric unit.
- 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting
preferred.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic
Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification must be
obtained within 30 days of employment start date. is comprised of
