We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a
highly-skilled and energetic RN to deliver -quality and
compassionate nursing care while collaborating with a
multi-disciplinary team in our critical care step-down unit. In
this role you will provide direct nursing care to adult and
geriatric patients with acute and/or chronic diagnoses. This team
serves cardiology and medical/surgical patients who may require
telemetry or bedside monitoring. If you have a desire for growth

in this role:
- As a registered nurse you will deliver patient-centered nursing
care and participate in patient and family education.
- On the critical care step-down unit you will monitor heart
rhythms, titrate select drips, and utilize critical thinking to
manage your patient
- Working with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers and
patient care staff, you will create and implement a care plan to
meet each patient's needs.
- Utilizing computerized documentation systems, you will monitor,
record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
- As a part of the clinical team in the critical care step-down
unit, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with
members of the healthcare team.
- When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other
customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and
much more.
- You will have the opportunity to attend the Critical Care
Internship for growthWhat qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN
preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current
Multistate Compact License.
- 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience in an acute care
hospital setting preferred.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic
Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification. -is comprised of
