Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responds to all medical related incidents on the property.
• Performs all security duties as outlined by the Security Department policies and procedures to ensure the protection of all company assets as well as the safety and welfare of guests and team members.
• Prepares reports as required.
• Verify patron's identification to prevent those under the age of 21 from gaining access to the Rivers Casino Portsmouth property.
• Assist in the implementation of emergency response procedures.
• All other duties as assigned Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Casino or Hotel experience preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
    • Valid/Current Virginia Basic Emergency Medical Technician certification (or higher medical certification) required.
    • Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Knowledge of various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Google (Docs, Sheets, etc).
      • Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
      • Ability to be a team player.
      • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment and licensing process. --- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including weekends and holidays. --- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing & certifications. Physical Requirements:
        • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, walk continuously, run occasionally, stoop, squat and/or kneel occasionally, twist and stretch frequently, and lift/push/pull frequently during a full 8.5 hour shift.
        • Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, flashing lights, and smoke.
        • Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, etc. with high level of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
