Job Description:
A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Representative I to
manage insurance claims and billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge for insurance
payors to ensure proper reimbursement
Communicate with internal teams and external customers to resolve
outstanding claims and validate information
Maintain accurate patient and insurance information in the
accounting system and compile documentation of billing
activities
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical or
billing reimbursement environment
Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant
computer software
Knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
preferred but not required
Ability to read and interpret documents related to billing and
insurance
